The Beauty of Elementary Friendship

Yesterday I just had a reunion with my elementary friends. Yes elementary friends. And how does it feel when you finally meet them after more than a decade not seeing each other? So many feels. I got sooooo many feels. But most of all I felt joy toward it, a tearful kind of joy. Because when you meet them, you don't solely meet them, you meet the memories of them. The memories that's been created years ago when you just trying to learn about this whole life. And then they're also there, being present in your earlier year of life. Enjoying and embracing life together. Making memories of a lifetime. Teaching each other the meaning of friendship. And inevitably teaching each other the hardship of goodbye too.

You were apart and now you're together again. You're happy that you finally see them in your other chapter of life, your 20s, but you also can't help but feel kinda sad realizing that you all are a grown up now. You were just a child when you first met them in your life. And now you all are becoming a responsible grown up with its own complexity. How much some personalities have changed and how much some personalities stay the same. How you all ended up taking a different paths, different schools and different social circles. But I find it beautiful that despite our differences, and even after being years apart, we still can knit our friendship close together. That though you don't see each other often, you still can have a really good time together. That you can still become your old self when you're together. Your child-at-heart self :)

Running Errands At Jakarta (Plus Foodventuring)

Was running errands at Jakarta 2 weeks ago for 4d3n, well yeah and a lil bit of getaway. Doing a little survey of this and that and then looking for a reference books for my final project. And of course, meeting a lot of people whom I loved! Nothing beats the feeling of meeting someone you've not seen for years! It's like a volcano of joy just exploded from inside my body and then there's a tad of rainbow vomit, okay that one is gross lol. Below are some of places I went to that's been documented on my camera (on day 3 I was to weak to hold a camera lol but seriously.)

1. Colette & Lola

It's my first stop just after I landed on Jakarta, waiting to be picked up by Devi
bubble gum beads column, so friggin cute!
Cakes and dreams! It's like I'm in Katy Pery's California Girls music video lol

2. Three Buns

Couldn't not love this place at first sight! Great design indeed.

See, this place have a very good natural lighting, which then creates an immaculate ambience.
The squads that day. And no that's not my big brother, we're somekind of panda siblings by the way lol.
Our hungry faces lol.

3. Pasar Santa

Of course my visit won't be complete before I visit this the most talk-about place in Jakarta.
The famous black hot dog with the most queue in Pasar Santa. It tastes great btw.
This greasy-looking fried banana is as delicious as it looks. Me want right now :(
This sexy milk bath cake is too die for! My favorite among others! That's banana milk btw <3
This is from taco-cat. It tastes good, nothing tastes like crap here in Pasar Santa, seriously.

4. Devi's Apartment

Loving this minimalist space, small but it feels spacious. And loving the monochrome look.
Spotted the gift we gave for Devi's farewell!
The view from Devi's room. Foggy and dream-like in the morning.

I was having such a great time at Jakarta, met some friends I haven't see in a while, and it does feel so good to catching up with your long lost friend. I wish I could stay longer and having more time talking with them. Thank you everybody for sparing your time to catch up with me! Looking forward to see you guys again :)

The Adventure Of Lord Vader Pt. 1

Date: 25th April, 2014
Location: Kebun Buah Mangunan & Hutan Pinus Imogiri

For the starter, I'm not actually sure which one deserves to be posted here first. I feel like posting them all at once, but hell no I wouldn't do that because my internet bandwidth won't allow me lol.

So why I chose this one? It's simple, because I like it. This is the one time where I'm obsessed on bringing my Darth Vader Mask along with me. I'd pretend to be Lord Vader flying across galaxy having his best adventure in Yogyakarta lol. Sorry but I'm that imaginative.. or weird whatever.

That day we went to two locations. First destination is Kebun Buah Mangunan which is located in Mangunan (obviously), Bantul and is not that far from Yogyakarta, it's just 45-minutes drive away from where I live. As it is located 150-200 metres above sea level, from its view-point we can overlook the breath-taking panoramic view of Bantul with its beautiful Kali Oyo. I was stunned when I first got there, the view is utterly gorgeous that I didn't wanna leave at the moment.

See what I meant here. It is that heavenly and it is even more heavenly in real.
Lord Vader was having a guhreat time there, enjoying nature that doesn't exist in his Death Star.

Oh yeah Lord Vader was also teaming up with Mr. Stark here. They're having an important meeting.

For the second destination, we drove to Hutan Pinus Imogiri which is located near Kebun Buah Mangunan, just 10-minutes drive away. Nothing panoramic here, just a pine forest which resembles the one from Twilight. But as for me, I felt like I just landed on Planet Endor, you know the one where cute-little-canibals Ewok tribe live. So yes it is the story of Lord Vader visiting Ewok's home but there's no Ewok in sight because they're scared of Lord Vader lol. Pardon my non-sense please.

Teaming up once again with Mr. Stark. Force-choking and repulsor-blasting those who have lack of faith.
Me! Unmasking the Lord Vader mask.
This was me obsessed with the force-choking pose. Sorry not sorry.
The fine pine forest. Waldensamkeit moment :)
Lord Vader looking for Ewok tribe but none of them appeared in sight.
Lord Vader having a moment of solitude with pine (?)

Well I guess that's all from the Lord Vader journey this time. I still have one journey with my Vader mask. Yes just one because it got boring at one point so I quit haha. Can't wait to upload it soon.. or later.

First Post in 2013

it's been awhile not stumbling upon this thing, well I blame my activity for this.. or my laziness haha. so I'm already on new semester here and things got pretty overwhelmed, it's still early semester but I feel like deadline is already chasing me down, they're trying to pin me down continuously. but that's not the highlight of this post, what I want to share is I enjoy 2013 so far, it's been treating me really well.

let's take a joyful trip down memory lane for a moment here..

1st my GPA from last semester has a startling result.. in a good way :D it's not that high but for extremely lazy student like me, the GPA result is pretty good. I couldn't get any happier than this and I'm very grateful upon this GPA, God is indeed very kind hihi.

2nd I was doing an internship in Bali last month! yes Bali! can you imagine staying in Bali for 1 month? it was indeed an incredible experience. the internship was all fun and useful, the people are so nice and warm, the boss is really kind-hearted and down-to-earth, also my friends here are super supportive and awesome. I'm enormously thankful of this rare experience, I mean what could I ask more? everything is perfect. I truly am so blessed by God's never ending grace :)

well i guess that's it.. oh and here are some panoramic shoots I managed to take back then, enjoy ;)

panoramic shoot of the beautiful ocean taken at uluwatu, what a superb view

panoramic shoot of Nusa Dua taken from GWK, it's up on the hill and we can see the city from up here

panoramic shoot of one of the site I visited, it'll soon be occupied with a villa with majestic view

another panoramic shoot of the site from another stand-point, the vista is awesome, no?

and here is a panoramic shoot of amori villa, it's located on the hill and it is a very romantic villa

A Perfect Getaway

at last I have a few days off from the vicious assignments, they finally declared a truce (temporarily sadly). last friday is an ied adha day, a big day for the Muslim, therefore making the weekend one day longer. oh yes I do love long weekend, but well who doesn't? people in a parallel world maybe haha. anyhow on this lovely long weekend, my family gathered here in Yogyakarta (minus my big brother unfortunately) to take a short trip on this super short holiday ☺ and guess what? we went to the beach! woohoo finally I got another chance to witness this impeccable creation ♡♥ damn I've been craving for this since my holiday in Bali, I was beyond excited the moment my mom told me about this plan. well I guess I won't talk much, I'll just leave the pictures here ✌

here's the beautiful beach: be careful of it.. it will literally take your breath away by its charm
the picturesque horizon: where the sky and the ocean meet, creating a relaxing view
the sea shore: place where people releasing the negatives, remain them as happy people
the ocean wave: which sounds can cause you to be chill and calm.. and happy
my little brother being friendly and playful with the ocean ripple
and here's my dad keeping an eye on my little brother whilst enjoying the ocean's breeze
a bendi by the shore: bendi is a vehicle pulled by a horse, I bet the horse love their workplace here :p
pastel color is sure enticing, it even works on this bendi
yes it is the same bendi as the prev photo, and no I didn't shoot it deliberately haha

it is indeed a perfect getaway ☮♡ I really enjoy every moment of it, big time, no regret at all baby no regret. anyway have a magnificent day people, I hope your weekend is as good as mine :)

Tick Of The Clock

this pretty much sums up my weeks lately and yes it's also the rationale behind the lack of my blog post. I ain't got no time baby, even just for opening the blogger dashboard. every week is like a deadline week, wait.. everyday is a deadline day to be precise. the tasks invade me (or us, the architecturian, to be exact) like the barbarian, they attack us ceaselessly without mercy :' well, what can I say? I say let's just enjoy the process, I know we'll smile at all of our hardworks at the end. shoutout for all architecturians! I know we all can pass through this, keep fighting! :)

p.s: I was bored by the pile of tasks and so I made this to amuse myself

Sweet Surprise Birthday Party

Last monday my friend lala was having a birthday and since birthday surprise is a tradition in our 'family', we decided to throw a surprise party for her and this was my idea to make it as a super sweet surprise party. Usually we give surprise to the birthday boy/girl at midnight but this time we want to make it slightly different so we decided to surprise her the day after her birthday. Well without further ado, I'll let the pictures speak, enjoy :)

Number 20 configuration made from 20 candles :)
Red velvet cupcakes for the birthday cake!
We 'kidnapped' the birthday girl straight from her room to the garden,
and we also bind her eyes with scarf to make it more surprise :D
The birthday girl, notice the banner? cute, no? haha
Me with the birthday girl :D
me and my college mate, Devi, made these banners
Us with the birthday girl, balloons everywhere :D
Bonus picture: birthday greeting from my panda family!

It was a fun surprise party, the birthday girl was happy and so did us. I suppose everybody was having a good time coz I definitely had a really good time, I was overwhelmed with joy :D. And yeah this surprise party was a major success :D
