No Ordinary Days

an old scrapbooking-process photo taken by lala's iphone

well yes there's never an ordinary day with them. I have been in absence of their presence for like almost a week right now, and yes I already feel a massive hole in my life, there's just something missing. I hope to see them soon when the hectic week is over, been longing for them like crazy :' I just love them so much, in fact I love them to the core of my heart ♡ thank you guys for always brighten up my days here in Yogyakarta, I have the best bestfriends ever and I'm really grateful of it ^^

A Perfect Getaway

at last I have a few days off from the vicious assignments, they finally declared a truce (temporarily sadly). last friday is an ied adha day, a big day for the Muslim, therefore making the weekend one day longer. oh yes I do love long weekend, but well who doesn't? people in a parallel world maybe haha. anyhow on this lovely long weekend, my family gathered here in Yogyakarta (minus my big brother unfortunately) to take a short trip on this super short holiday ☺ and guess what? we went to the beach! woohoo finally I got another chance to witness this impeccable creation ♡♥ damn I've been craving for this since my holiday in Bali, I was beyond excited the moment my mom told me about this plan. well I guess I won't talk much, I'll just leave the pictures here ✌

here's the beautiful beach: be careful of it.. it will literally take your breath away by its charm
the picturesque horizon: where the sky and the ocean meet, creating a relaxing view
the sea shore: place where people releasing the negatives, remain them as happy people
the ocean wave: which sounds can cause you to be chill and calm.. and happy
my little brother being friendly and playful with the ocean ripple
and here's my dad keeping an eye on my little brother whilst enjoying the ocean's breeze
a bendi by the shore: bendi is a vehicle pulled by a horse, I bet the horse love their workplace here :p
pastel color is sure enticing, it even works on this bendi
yes it is the same bendi as the prev photo, and no I didn't shoot it deliberately haha

it is indeed a perfect getaway ☮♡ I really enjoy every moment of it, big time, no regret at all baby no regret. anyway have a magnificent day people, I hope your weekend is as good as mine :)

Tick Of The Clock

this pretty much sums up my weeks lately and yes it's also the rationale behind the lack of my blog post. I ain't got no time baby, even just for opening the blogger dashboard. every week is like a deadline week, wait.. everyday is a deadline day to be precise. the tasks invade me (or us, the architecturian, to be exact) like the barbarian, they attack us ceaselessly without mercy :' well, what can I say? I say let's just enjoy the process, I know we'll smile at all of our hardworks at the end. shoutout for all architecturians! I know we all can pass through this, keep fighting! :)

p.s: I was bored by the pile of tasks and so I made this to amuse myself

A Peek on Villa Savoye

It's an old project from last semester (it's a group task), we're told to make a model of Villa Savoye; a splendid modernist villa in Poissy, France built between 1928 and 1931. Designed by Le Corbusier, a notable swiss architect known as one of the pioneers of modern architecture, Villa Savoye is one of the most influential building in modern movement, it really had an enormous influence on international modernism. It is now became a museum and it has a frequent visitors every year, particularly architecture people who want to witness this historical edifice.

Article Layout

it's just another assignment post from my favorite class, Architectural Communication Technique class, frankly I enjoy the assignments this far hahaha. on this 3rd task, the objective is to understand the basic of nifty article layout thus we're ordered to make one, the content is up to us and yes we're allowed to copy texts + images.

images & texts are courtesy of Majapahit Hotel

as you can see, I choose Majapahit Hotel as the article - it's a luxury heritage hotel in my hometown - and in case you're wondering why I pick black & white as the color scheme, well it's solely because I run out of any color scheme idea. but it's not bad, no? it even emphasizes the historical and heritage ambience, don't you think? ;)

You Can Only Choose One

would you rather be
UNDERESTIMATE
––––––––or ––––––––––––
OVERESTIMATE
?

this thought came over to my mind unexpectedly right after I woke up from my dream. well it's a bit uncanny, I can't remember what kind of dream that molded this thought, I lost track of it. I personally can't decide whether I'd rather be underestimate or overestimate, both have their advantages and disadvantages. so what about you? which one do you prefer? please spare me your thought, you'll be very welcome :)

Sweet Surprise Birthday Party

Last monday my friend lala was having a birthday and since birthday surprise is a tradition in our 'family', we decided to throw a surprise party for her and this was my idea to make it as a super sweet surprise party. Usually we give surprise to the birthday boy/girl at midnight but this time we want to make it slightly different so we decided to surprise her the day after her birthday. Well without further ado, I'll let the pictures speak, enjoy :)

Number 20 configuration made from 20 candles :)
Red velvet cupcakes for the birthday cake!
We 'kidnapped' the birthday girl straight from her room to the garden,
and we also bind her eyes with scarf to make it more surprise :D
The birthday girl, notice the banner? cute, no? haha
Me with the birthday girl :D
me and my college mate, Devi, made these banners
Us with the birthday girl, balloons everywhere :D
Bonus picture: birthday greeting from my panda family!

It was a fun surprise party, the birthday girl was happy and so did us. I suppose everybody was having a good time coz I definitely had a really good time, I was overwhelmed with joy :D. And yeah this surprise party was a major success :D

About Falling In Love

falling in love really takes you into the next level of stupidity. I mean when you fall in love you completely lose your mind, you'll be able to do some crazy stuffs that is never exist in the first place. it puts you in a state where your mind cannot work properly, your conscious is literally being scrambled by the touchy-heart-feeling and your brain is totally being distracted by the unstable hormones. you just cannot think straight in this state, no matter how much you begged, no matter how much you pleaded, you just cannot think crystal clear. you are being head over heels, heart over logic, gotta say it's a tad eerie. no I'm not in this state at the moment but I personally think it's kinda stressful. I mean I fell in love once (maybe twice, three times or idk how many times) and yeah I'm not overly fond of this state, I was entirely being someone else, it's uncanny, I always grin whenever I look back to those old foolish time. I'm not saying falling in love is a stupid thing, I'm just saying that it's responsible for making people being stupid. it's not stupid, it could be a wonderful feeling when it's given in the right amount and it could be kinda cute too at certain situation. I mean cmon who can resist a man that's being stupid? that gesture is kinda cute, no? well I say you're not truly falling in love when you're not being stupid, it is just tremendously inevitable :)

Inner Peace

"sometimes solitude and serenity is what we need"

and beach is just the perfect place to find it. especially when it comes to sunset hour, the view of it is utterly breath-taking, no? it gives you inner peace at the moment, makes you realize how great is our God for making this kinda masterpiece. the sight of sun-ray burst from the cloud's apperture, the warmth gold-to-red gradation in the sky, the silhouettes of happy people pacing around there and the cold yet caressing ripple touches your skin is solely the perfect combination to indulge your eyes and other sensory, the feeling is indeed divine. ah how I miss spending my time at kuta beach. I wish I could just lay down there right now and experienced that divine moment all over again, and of course to be grateful of this impeccable creation ♡♥

The New Adorable iPod Touch

have you heard about the new iPod touch? what do you think? me? oh gotta say I'm in major love with it! I instantly went googley eyed at the first sight, I merely can't take my eyes off it like literally ❤ the colors are just super cute, no? well forgot the pastel cambridge satchel thing, I'll save my money for it instead ;) here take a glance at the cutest iPod ever (yet) if you haven't had the chance to witness it, please contain your excitement people :D

do you fancy it as much as I do? what's your favorite color? I fell for the pink one. well if only it comes with mint/tosca/turquoise color I will be gone more ecstatic I suppose hihi. but yeah unfortunately it doesn't come with that color so pink is okay, it's my 2nd favorite color. anyhow apple just launched the new nano iPod too - which comes with tosca color *sigh* - and yeah of course the exaggerated iphone 5 which in my humble opinion isn't too brilliant, it's just the longer version of iphone 4. well aside that.. have a bright and colorful day people, may the joy be with you :)

Feeling Rather Blue

I was just so close to find myself feelin' comfortable to this city again, well endless thanks to my 'family' here for being all kinds of awesome, I love you guys. Unfortunately this exceptionally fine dream just hit me out of nowhere, I trust it is molded by my subconscious. This dream it's just super fine that when I woke up I feel so much emptiness in me thus it leads me to feeling blue :( Now I know how Mal from Inception feels when she woke up after 50 years of awesome dreaming, no wonder she wanted to go back to her dream again, as reality is not enough for her. Anyway in order to cheer myself up, I feel like snapping some random pictures in my room. I know it's quite an odd act but I don't care, it's quite fun too actually, you might want to try it for yourself if you doubt it. Anyway don't you just adore the furry pink monster case? it's lovely isn' it? :3

Diffable

"The Eyes Are Useless When The Mind is Blind

this quote came up in front of me while I was browsing through social media. and frankly it snapped my attention right away because it reminds me of my assignment, the subject is accessibility - it's about designing for diffable person, in this subject we're expected to be more concern and compassionate about them who has different ability. anyhow the quote is kinda ironic isn't it? I mean there are lots of people who's given a pair of healthy eyes yet they don't use it in a good way, many of them have narrow mind; they don't realize how fortunate they are to have this exquisite gift and they end up wasting it for some crappy things. whilst on the contrary, there are few people scattered in this world who's unfortunate end up having visual impairment. but by having this kind of shortage, it won't stop them from being awesome, they even tend to possess a powerful great mind, more expanded than a normal-eyed person's mind. this shortage even provokes them to prove themselves to the world that they're capable to do anything that seemingly impossible. for example is Stevie wonder, who doesn't know him? he's a famous blind musician who has pocketed more than 20 Grammy Awards plus one Grammy Award Lifetime Achievement, wow what a marvelous achievement, no? not many normal-eyed person can even obtain that. another example is Hellen Keller, I reckon everybody know her, no need to mention her awesomeness I suppose. the 3rd example is Esref Armagan, well he's a blind painter. yes even blind person is capable to do that, I can barely believe it at first but well nothing is impossible, no? if you're curious below are some of his works.

well I guess that's it. what I'd like to share is, you can do more than them if you want, just don't be nonchalant of what God has given to you, you just have to sought out what's your talent is - or maybe you've discovered it, well develop it for a good cause then. their success didn't just popped out in an instant, they gain it by their devoted hardwork. so let's do more establishment things and don't give up easily, shall we? :)

Initial Persecution

tadaaa this is my very first assignment on this 5th semester, yes it's still the first week of college and I have to encounter this persecution already. yeah but it's not much and no need of rigorous effort as well, a handy task I suppose. the subject is Architectural Communication Technique, it teaches us how to design a good poster design, from setting the poster layout to selecting the right font.

well at this task, the lecturer wanted us to design an A4 poster about building in Yogyakarta and my choice goes to Borobudur Temple, an exquisite & enormous ancient temple. anyhow since what's important is the layout design, we are allowed to copied texts and images straight to our work, so all of these images and texts are courtesy of website.

ps: I made this with powerpoint coz I have no coreldraw/photoshop yet

Sometimes It's The Little Thing That You Need The Most

why you need that the most? why little thing? why not big thing? well because sometimes that little thing is what's important to you, it adds the value of your precious life, it helps you to get through this laborious life. beside, most of big things always come from little thing, it doesn't appeared to be big instantly, no? those little things surely make a solid foundation before the big thing arise. so yeah I reckon the little thing is what you need the most. maybe it seems not so important to you, well I think it's because you solely don't pay attention to it. next time, try to pay attention to it and I'm pretty sure you'll gain your big thing gradually. so what's your important little thing that you need the most? have you figure it out? well... mine is alarm clock at the moment. don't ask why, it's a whimsical long story hihihi.

here's a bonus picture of sunset in jimbaran bali to soothe you ;)
